Questions
Does it work without GPS data?
Yes. Most photos shared online have their location data removed. PixTrace works from what is visible in the picture, and uses the GPS data too when the file still has it.
How accurate is the location?
It depends on the photo. Distinctive streets and landmarks often resolve to a precise spot; a plain field or a close-up may only narrow it to a region. Every answer comes with a confidence score and the clues behind it.
Are my photos stored?
No. Images are deleted once the analysis is done. Only the report is kept in your history, and you can delete it at any time.
Which files can I upload?
JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, AVIF, TIFF and BMP, up to 10 MB. Screenshots and images saved from social media work too.
